What to say? I love Joan Baez and the goodness that she has always sung and protested for. Her Voice will live on. I hope she can find peace and joy in her retirement years. Though.. I think she will never really retire. Causes will propel her to speak out. Blessed Be JOAN C. BAEZ.

I listened to your records and sang along after high school in the early 60’s. Your my singer and you helped develop my conscious, strength, and will to keep on holding myself together with an long on going #metoo activity happening. I know you helped me overcome then.
I saw you at the a Hollywood Bowl with Bob Dillion.
I grew up with you leading the way for me. Thank you my love.

    Write an anthem for #metoo.

Oh my dear Joan,I am so full of admiration for you. As a tennager during the Vietnam war and living at home with a parent who was a right wing conservative and very racist I believed everything he told me. I actually supported the war, then I heard a speech you made and your songs and I began to think for myself. It was not long before I joined a protest March against the war. I marched again to protest against the Iraq war and as I walked I was singing We shall Overcome. This was all down to your influence, for that I thank you.Sadly I will not be able to attend your final concert in London, but I have been fortunate enough to see you live twice so I count myself lucky. Thank you Joan for your music, thank you for your humanity, thank you for opening my eyes.

Thank you, Patt, for this thoughtful discussion with Joan Baez. Her music has been a force for understanding...her voice and presence powerfully inspiring for generations. I think many of us had an illusion that with time and social progress we would finally be able, at some point, to relax our efforts...but Joan had no illusions. She's seen too much and known too many tyrants and fools. Thank you, Joan...always!
